Yet another great event in Gdansk! – our view about infoShare 2014
In recent years Tricity area is becoming one of the most active metropolitan in Poland. Not only Gdansk hosts a lot of students conferences as well as famous Blog Forum for bloggers and vlogers (not to mention all cultural events) but the biggest and most prestige one is presumably infoShare – the new technologies, startup and new media fest. And it if not the biggest, for sure the best organized in Poland.
In last two days we were lucky to meet startups with the innovative ideas from all over the country, listen to the most influential people from Poland and abroad, discuss new trends and technologies and simply have fun. And all that thanks to infoShare!
InfoShare, again, was staged at Amber Expo – modern exposition space in Gdansk, just cross the street from PGE Arena. In this year not only we were spoiled by the substantive excellence, the whole setting and accompanying events was wanderers. During the breaks between lectures the brass band entertain the audience. Startups runs in Startup Contest and the votes public gave was in the form of investment game (you could “invest” for the startups and the whole cash invested was votes). All guest have fun during evening networking session and the most resilient run Friday morning in infoShare Beach Running contest. Oh, and there was hackathon too.
Putting fun aside, the speakers this year presented the keen-edge knowledge about the modern business environment, marketing in growing social media world, startups longevity strategies and key entrepreneurial skills. If you want to obtain the broadest perspective for today managing business and can choose only one conference – choose infoShare!
We would like to boast about our own involvement in the infoShare. Gabriel Roszak, our Investment Manager, was a speaker today presenting how to build mobile-based startup. Quantum Lab, one of our portfolio company get to the final stage of Startup Contest and had an opportunity to pitch in front of the whole public at the main stage.
It occurred to us that since the first edition 8 years ago infoShare became the must-be place for entrepreneurs, marketing specialists, bloggers and tech geeks. We are more than thrilled that such undertakings takes place in our region and attracts ambitious and innovative people from the whole country.
