Defence industry interested in potential of Polish startups
This September in Kielce (Poland) was held one the largest defence trade show in Europe (third after Paris and London). More than 500 exhibitors from all around the world took part in this fair.
It’s very likely that this event will break another record of popularity. Last year gathered more than 15 000 visitors. The event is under the auspices of the Republic of Poland President what also brings important official political delegations (embassies, ministries etc.)

Business matchmaking
This year during the fair Polish Agency for Enterprise Development was author of two initiatives for startups.
Seminar: Anyone interested in new technology could take part in seminar „Innovations in the service of the defense – an opportunity for start-ups”. The discussion focused on EU grants, commercialization of researches and what are the best areas for cooperation between startups and military companies.
Special zone: 30 selected startups presented their achievements on the special stage and took part in business matchmaking. Meetings with the biggest players in the branch created possibilities to introduce their ideas and learn about new business opportunities. On the other hand contact with small companies allowed to exchange specific knowledge and experience.
One of the selected startup was Blue Dot Solutions (portfolio company of Black Pearls VC).
Blue Dot Solutions aims to support the development of space sector in Poland and Central Europe through various consulting activities and extensive network of contacts. The company is in the process of development of own applications basing on satellite data and helps entities from other industries to enter the space sector. The Blue Dot Solutions team has over 10 years of experience in scientific communication, technology and research-based content creation, project information and result dissemination.
