Two conferences and one seminar in 6 days

In recent days representatives of the Black Pearls attended several major events related to a science and business environment. We are happy to see our city as well as a whole country thriving with such opportunities for people to learn important entrepreneurial skills and networking with future partnerships in mind.

EIT ICTLabs conference

On 2nd April 2014 more than 120 people attended the conference dedicated to the innovative entrepreneurs from local environment (Trójmiasto). The event was held in the conference center named Olivia Sky Club in the Olivia Business Centre. On the meeting representatives and participants of the EIT ICTLabs presented the principles and formula of participation in programs of EIT ICTLabs, which offer a support to the development of business projects. This international network has been developed by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology, on the initiative of the European Union. EIT ICTLabs’ mission is to make Europe a leadership in the field of ICT innovations, which can significantly improve the growth and quality of people life. Since 2010 , EIT ICTLabs consistently integrates people from academia and busines.

“Development of innovative activities in the field of pharmacy and medicine – products and services” seminar

The seminar was organized on 8th of April 2014 at the Medical University of Gdańsk for students and PhD students. The seminar was conducted by Thomas Hedner, professor in clinical pharmacology at the Department of Medicine, Sahlgrenska Academy, Gothenburg University. Leading researcher in cardiovascular medicine, head of the biomedical entrepreneurship program at the University of Gothenburg, author of more than 400 scientific publications, experienced in commercialization of medicinal products.

Innovate Teaching in Business & Management conference

The international conference on novel approaches in business education was held on 8th of April 2014. The Project addresses a crucial need for improving qualifications of trainers/educators in the field of case study (CS) methodology applied in business education aimed at SMEs. It fills the gap of training dedicated to SMEs needs by adjusting this methodology for the purpose of training SMEs owners/managers, CS methodology, worked out in another LdV project (RePro), combines educational problems and actual business problems.
