Supporting FindAir in their intelligent asthma monitoring solution develoment.

Black Pearls VC will help FindAir team develop their intelligent solutions for asthma monitoring and control. The preliminary stage of cooperation includes preparation of the research and development project and analysis necessary for its implementation.

Support at this stage will allow us to fine-tune the key elements of the project and to summarize the work to date – says Tomasz Mikosz, Business Head, FindAir. – This partnership is an important step forward that will help us prepare launching FindAir solutions to the market.

The involvement of the Black Pearls VC in FindAir can reach as much as PLN 3 million. The project is funded by the Black Pearls VC LQT Fund II (LQT – Life Quality Technologies). The design of the LQT Fund II gives us the opportunity to support startups in the R&D process, responding to the real needs of founders seeking to commercialize their ventures – says Maciej Skórkiewicz, Investment Director at Black Pearls VC. – This makes us more flexible and we are able meet the needs of R&D projects.

FindAir is Europe’s first intelligent solution to help people with asthma. It is based on a combination of three components: mobile application, intelligent inhaler add-on (FindAir ONE) and machine learning-based data analysis platform.  FindAir collects and analyzes data on each use of asthma medicine, including the dosage, the circumstances of each use, weather conditions, air pollution and allergens in the environment. Based on the data collected, the most probable factors for asthma attacks are presented. The data can be made available to the physician and patient, supporting the course of asthma therapy.

Prior to starting the cooperation with Black Pearls VC, FindAir has completed the prestigious Startupbootcamp Digital Health Berlin, one of the most acclaimed accelerator programs in Europe. The team also received the top prize at the Startup Contest and won Digital Healthcare Hackathon at this year’s Infoshare conference in Gdansk, where FindAir and Black PEarls VC met.
