Girls are rocking IT in Tricity!
The Geek Girls Carrots members from Tricity didn’t wait long for an occasion to network and get inspired again. Just a week after their previous meeting, on 6 June they all come to Zatoka Sztuki in Sopot to learn more about the sales aspect of social media and women’s ability to connect the worlds of science, startups and investments.
Agata Kukwa, our Public Relations Manager, is one of the speakers. Agata is going to talk about the feminine factor in the men’s world of investments and startup projects – how femininity has become an invaluable asset in the investment sector and how not to go crazy running an IT project.
Geek Girls Carrots is a community of active women who love new technologies and are interested in ICT. The members work as webmasters, programmers, graphic designers, IT project managers, social media specialists, PR experts and career coaches. Many of them run their own businesses.
The idea behind Geek Girls Carrots is to promote women in ICT, to share experience and knowledge and to encourage women to start their own business projects. Monthly meetings are a great opportunity to bring together geek girls with different experience and background, to network, make new friends and establish valuable business contacts. A few initiatives have already been started at the GGC afterparties, so it is really worth joining the community.
