20 000 euro in cash for the Startup Contest winner, and the investors’ aggregate pool of 1 000 000 euro for the best startups!

Startups from all over the world can join in the international competition for the best, the Startup Contest, until 4th May. The Contest will once more accompany the infoShare Startup Zone powered by STARTER. With the still growing pool of awards awaiting the most innovative ideas, Starter had decided to give more time for application.  Alongside the cash prize of 20 000 euro for the winner of the Startup Contest, the prize pool contributed by the investors has increased to as much as 1 000 000 euro!

Soon, Gdańsk will be the hub of innovative ideas from all over the world for the second time!  The grand startup stage will host the most creative firms, ambitious research projects, and exploratory technological solutions seeking not only interest, but also hard cash to support their development.

– There is certainly something for compete for! Thanks to our partners the best startups will contend for a share in the total pool of 1 000 000 euro accumulated by the investors expected at the infoShare! The winners will be awarded 20 000 euro in cash funded by the City of Gdansk! We are heading for a truly unforgettable rivalry contest, and since the pool of awards has grown only recently, we have decided to give more time for applications so that those for whom 10 000 euro was not sufficiently motivating can have another opportunity – says Agnieszka Meller of the Gdańsk Business Incubator STARTER, organiser of the infoShare Startup Zone. – Moreover, the Polish startups that will reach the finals will get the chance to represent Poland in the international finals of the Creative Business Cup in Copenhagen. It is truly distinguishing to gain that opportunity to present oneself at the subsequent edition of the world event and follow the footsteps of CTAdventure, last year’s grand winners from the Gdańsk STARTER!

Startup Zone powered by STARTER stands for more than space ready to accommodate the most inspiring ideas from an array of fields; it is an opportunity to meet celebrities of the startup world. The speakers will include e.g.: Suchit Dash, Yann Girard, David Bizer, Niclas Fritz, Noam Tamari-Wekser, Benjamin Rohe, Mike Bradshaw and Magdalena Ozimirska. The startup zone will be led by Lasse Chor known as the Happiest Man Alive.

– infoShare Startup Zone powered by STARTER is the unique and only place where the largest seek the most innovative ones willing to create unbelievable opportunities for them to present their ideas to the whole world! Shortly, it is a must to join us – adds Agnieszka Meller of the STARTER.

We will learn the names of the Startup Contest winners on 12 June, the last day of the infoShare conference. The Startup Zone is also open to projects which have not yet reached the stage competing in the contest itself – they will have a special Startup Expo exhibition zone at their disposal to share experience with other entrepreneurs, get feedback from the participants, and trigger interest in investors. You can enrol in the Startup Contest and Startup Expo on line at: www.infoshare.pl/startup-zone.
